Mines and derelict Industrial Sites are my favorite photographic locations. However, the cameras go to different parts of the country, this page and the others below are dedicated to “Other Places”.
The Bluebell Railway is a great place to photograph faces and shapes.

The shape and the light make an ordinary bench interesting.
An image from the 80’s when I went into my people and pattern stage taken on Redhill Station.
A sheep sale at Rogart in the Scottish Highlands.
The seagull is a welcome addition to balance the composition taken along Worthing beach.
An interesting combination of light and dark on a wet pavement along the seafront in Hastings on a cold day.
These images are of Powderham Belvedere in Devon, a tower folly built on the Powderham Castle Estate. Looking over the River Exe the views were magnificent, it was an amazing place to take photographs, my thanks go to Heléne in Sweden who emailed me with the name of the site. I have printed the images “hard” with plenty of contrast, this produces almost a Gothic feel to the images
The top of the impressive towers at Powderham Folly.
The whole of the building from a distance.
An image from the other side of the building.
A view of one of the towers framed by a large archway, this was taken with a red filter to add contrast and to darken the blue sky.
A pair of amazing windows from the inside of the building.
A view of the inside looking towards where the staircase was situated.
A final image looking up one of the towers.
